![Close-up of a wall with peeling paint, revealing yellow layers underneath and some patches of light blue and gray discoloration.]() Italian Polished PlastersItalian Plasters range from highly polished Venetian plaster to rough rustic stucco. Traditionally it utilizes lime plasters, often with marble and other additives. Newer plasters use acrylic as a base, which can allow deeper colours and highly polished mirror like finishes. Take a look at the gallery on the homepage to see all the possibilities.

![Modern bathroom with a freestanding bathtub near a window, gray tiled walls, a toilet, and a countertop with toiletries.]() MicrocementMicrocement is the new ‘it’ thing. It is a highly flexible and very strong material, made from cementitious compounds and resins, along with colourants, and is applied in several very thin layers. It is naturally water proof, and with proper sealants can even be used in showers and wet rooms. Its extreme strength, durability, stain resistance, and flexibility allowing it to be installed in locations where more traditional finishes can’t be used.

![Interior of a room with large windows showing a blue car outside and abstract artwork on the wall adjacent to the window.]() Custom ArtMy Custom Art blends traditional Italian plastering techniques with modern materials like acrylic paint. These materials work very well with abstract, industrial, and grungy themes. I typically use mdf as a backing, but have also done commissioned jobs directly onto walls. Ask me about pieces for sale, or commissions.

![Interior room under renovation with plastered walls featuring swirling markings, exposed floor with construction openings, and two windows letting in natural light.]() Heritage Lime PlasterExperienced in lime plasters, with rustic finishes or more modern textures. Lime plasters are the best choice for renovating older buildings, as they allow water vapour to escape. I also do hemp lime plasters, which can add insulative value to old buildings.

![]() TadelaktTadelakt is a Moroccan finish, composed of layers of lime plaster, sealed with treatments of black olive soap, and polished meticulously with smooth stones. While many companies offer beautiful imitations of Tadelakt, if you are looking to use it in a shower or wetroom you need to make sure you use the genuine process. Tadelakt offers a beautiful shiny finish, but with soft rounded edges and corners. It is even possible to make your bath and sink in Tadelakt!
